Is it still okay to pack and take PB & J sandwiches on an airplane with you? We have a very short layover and a long flight ahead of us next week and I was hoping we could have some sort of lunch....

Thanks!

Jen

As long as they are already put together when you go through security - yes.
What you cannot do is carry the ingredients and put them together in the gate area or on the plane.

Thanks guys! :) I had checked the TSA website, but then it confused me as to whether or not I could have it pre made or if it had to be in a seperate, under 3 oz container.... I appreciate the responses!

Also, occassionally you will have the peanut allergy flight. I have only had this happen once in all my years of flying, but they will announce that someone on the plane is allergic to peanut butter and ask you not to eat anything containing peanuts.

That's really interesting. Thanks Carol! Hopefully it will all work out. Our layover is just so short that by the time we use the restroom and change the baby's diaper, I am worried there will be no time for lunch...
