PB&J Milkshake??

50's primetime Cafe will be closed the whole length of our trip and I really wanted to try one of these pb&j milkshakes that I have heard so much about on these boards. Does anywhere else sell these or is this exclusive to the 50'sPTC? Thanks.

I dunno but a PB&J milkshake sounds !
There is a place here locally who serves a PB&J dessert pizza. YLK! I think I'll stick with PB&J sandwiches if anything.

I think it sounds SOOOO yummy! I'm a huge PB lover and this sounds just like something I'd want to try. I'll be watching this thread to see what other posters can tell us about where else to find this shake.

I am not going to be much help. My DH loves that shake. He says it is the best shake he has ever drank.

I always wanted to try it, but I was seduced by the s'mores last visit, and didn't feel that both would be a healthy option for me...

The PB&J shake at 50's is my favorite milkshake in all of WDW! I am sad for you that this restaurant will be closed for your visit. I am not aware of another WDW restaurant that carries this yummy treat.

Oh well I guess I'll just have to plan another trip so that I can experience this yummy treat. Do you think my husband would buy that? ...honey,but I NEED to go back to WDW bcause I have to try a PB&J Milkshake....

I can see him dumping jars of PB&J into the blender with some ice cream telling me to eat it and like it!!!

I love, love, love this shake! It is really delicious (and I was nervous to order it, too. Not sure if I would like it) It is a must-have for every trip from here on out.

I read that it is sold somewhere in the boardwalk area, too. Can anyone confirm that?

I've only heard of MGM having them. But you don't have to eat at 50's PTC. You can order them at the Tune-In Lounge Bar next to the cafe. It's approximately $5 for a large one. They are so good.

Where did you hear that 50's PT would be closed?

I am always trolling the boards for good ideas of stuff to try on our next trip but I have to say that the PB&J milkshake that we got at the Tune In Lounge was not very impressive. Maybe if it had been chocolate and PB I would have enjoyed it more. Would have to be mightly good to make me think it was worth $6 (with tip). I am glad we tried it though, one more thing crossed off my 'to do' list. BTW, I walked in and asked a waiter about them and he went and brought me one out and we took it to the tables in front of H&V.

stinkerbelle~ I saw something on the boards about it being closed and then a CM confirmed it when I tried to make a PS for my trip in Jan. I don't remember the exact dates but I am thinking something like Jan 17-31??? I'm not sure though so don't quote me on that. Anyone else know the dates?? They are just refurbishing and then they will be up and running again.

Thanks for the info everyone- I'm glad to know that there is still a chance that I can try this on my trip.
