Hi all. I have some questions about paypal and hopefully someone can help me. Can you use a re-loadable/ pre-paid card on your account? How easy is it to use paypal? Have you had any problems? The reason I am asking is several years ago I had a paypal account that was hacked. That is why I am asking about a pre-paid type of card. Any other ideas or information would be greatly appreciated. I am a professional eBay seller, so I'm very familiar with Paypal. It's very simple to use, in my opinion. I have never seen a prepaid card offered, but you can get a debit or credit card. They do a credit check for either one, so you have to give them your SSN. You should make your password very strong, of course, and keep an eye on your account in case it does get hacked. If you report it quickly enough then you are covered under their fraud protection. It's not quite as secure as a regular bank or credit union, so I only use mine for eBay transactions. It'd be a good idea to use a credit card as your backup funding method instead of a bank account. Hope that helps!

PayPal is a lot better / safer now than when it started. Use it for eBay and since I do sell often use it as a debit card too. Back it with a credit card.

Thank you both for the replies. I went and purchased a prepaid visa card for my purchase. I am going to see how it works.

I have used it off and on since they started with no problems. Be sure you read and understand their policies, especially if you will be using PayPal to accept payment from other people.
