Paypal Problems

Has anyone ever had any problems using pay pal? I’ve just logged into my account to pay the balance for discon and I noticed a number of denied transaction requests. These request range from about $50 to over $2000 none of which had I processed. Now it did state that they were all denied, for what reason I don’t know, but im getting really worried now as to how safe my credit card details are with them.

I tried to send the discon payment so that I could close my account with them straight after but as I haven’t used my account in some time ive had to go through some security questions before I can use it again. As soon as I can send it I’m thinking of closing the account for good, has anyone else had any problems like this is the past? Should I be concerned or am I making a fuss over nothing as no money has been taken from my card?

CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD.

Someone has more than likely compromised your account. I would talk to Paypal about the charges and see if they can be traced as fradulent. Great that you weren't charged, but they still are someone trying to steal your money.

Remember, Paypal will never ask your for your password in emails and their site will always start with HTTPS. They state that prominently on their site.

Report it now, and possibly notify your credit card company and ask for a new number. The one you have now may be compromised.

Do it NOW.

Emma, I'm so sorry. I think Jeff is right though.....report it NOW and perhaps stop a crime and save someone else from becoming a victim. I hope this gets all straightened out. I only used PayPal once or twice, so I'm not very savvy with it yet.
