I am interesting in selling points and want to use paypal to collect the money. I have a paypal account already so how does paypal work if collecting money? I have only used Paypal to buy for items on Ebay.

If you have a paypal account you are pretty much all set. There is an area that you can send an invoice to some ones email address. So basically you create an invoice for your rental for what ever amount at the time. Send it off and all the renter has to do is click pay now in there email and give a credit card number. The only thing is that if you use paypal you must add at least 3% to your rental price to cover paypal fees and if you withdraw the money you may have to take extra steps to take more than $500 out at a time.....just verification type stuff. Its pretty easy and painless, my last rental we used paypal and it worked out great. Good Luck....

When I owned DVC I used Paypal as it gave the buyer the peace of mind of an invoice and the seller an easy way to collect the funds.

There are two types of paypal accounts. You probably have a personal account. The good news is, you will pay no fees on the tranaction. The bad news is, the renter cannot use a credit card to pay you. The money has to come out of his paypal account or direct draw from their bank. If you want to allow the renter to pay with a credit card, you'll have to update to a premier/busniess account. But then you'll also have to pay fees on the transaction.

Personally, I don't see a huge advantage ing using paypal for renting DVC. The best thing about paypal is speed. You don't have to wait for checks to get mailed, be deposited, etc. But with most DVC rentals, you're paying so far in advance speed isn't necessary. Just my 2 cents.
