PayPal is threatening to "limit my account"

Pay pal has been threatening to limit my account since last year with the ebay/ target churning. The advice then was not to answer their prompts because those that did got their accounts locked. Yesterday i got an email that unless i logged in and went through the process they were going to limit my account by the 31st. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and unlink my accounts if they are going to lock me out????

If you received an email stating that your account is limited but don't see any steps in the Resolution Center, you may have received a fake email. Forward it to spoof@paypal.com and Pay Pal will investigate it for you.

If you think they are going to limit the account, unlink ALL of your cards and bank accounts. If they are still connected when they limit it, they will never remove them and you will be unable to use them in any way associated with PayPal, EVER.

SCAM

I got several of these from different backs saying they locked my account and I need to email/call them to unlock them.

The interesting part is I don't have an account with any of them

The new scam of the day. I get a call stating they are Microsoft, it is an emergency. My activation code has expired and to call with this PIN number to reactivate it.

What to do? You go to your computer and try to log in. If you can your activation code has not expired.

Got this call several weeks ago, ignored it, and never got a call back.

Yes SCAM! I have been receiving emails similar to the ones described above. The most recent one was yesterday. I forwarded to my police department and then blocked the address in my email.
