If you have ever filed a paypal dispute, how long did it take to get resolved and for you to get a refund?

I ordered 2 pair of shoes from an online store I had never heard of, and never received a shipping confirmation. The paypal address was a hotmail address. I should have known something was up. I am usually much better at checking out these companies ahead of time, but this time did not.

A google search indicates that this is not a legitimate web site and I filed a dispute last night. I am just wondering how long the claims process will take.

I do a lot of internet shopping and this time I was asleep at the wheel.

We've had so many issues with PayPal that we no longer use them for anything. They were fairly prompt in refunding our money in every instance, but all of our money issues were hacking or outright fraud.

The third time it happened we closed all accounts and will never use them again.

Wow, did the charges just show up on your credit card?

If you paid with CC I would just file it with your CC. We had to do that once and the CC person took it off immediately - I figured it would take longer and be more of a hassle to do it with paypal.

That's great to hear. I didn't think I could if I used paypal.

Ditto! I've have the same problem several times and will never ever use PayPal again.
