Paypal Debit Card Question??

I have been thinking about getting a Paypal debit card. Can someone briefly explain how this works? How long does it take to get one? When you transfer the money over is it instantly there or is there a waiting period like when you transfer to a checking account? How reliable are they? Finally, would you recommend getting one? Any help/ advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I have been a seller on ebay now for almost 3 years, I have had the paypal debit card from day one that they came out with it, and let me tell you it is the BEST thing in the world they could have created, You can only spend what ever is in your paypal balance, so if there is 100.00 you can basically use that card like a credit card they take it EVERYWHERE visa or mastercard is accepted, I use it at the post office all the time, so i do not go into my pockets for any shipping charges, if it comes to 3.50 at the post office i use it, I just cant say enough good about it because to me it is the BEST thing in the world, in fact i used it two weeks ago at a restaurant and they must have swiped it twice so when i got home i checked my paypal account and saw two debits for same amount same restaurant, i called the restaurant and they were denying that it went thru two times. so i was really upset, i called paypal and the customer service person said yes i see they swiped it twice, dont worry i will reverse one of the charges now, and within 5 minutes the second charge was put back into my paypal account.
Honestly it is GREATTTTTT, i love it just as much as i love Disney...LOL

Can you use it like a credit card to rent cars.
I have heard that you HAVE to have a credit card for rental cars, so does is this considered a debit or credit in that situation.... I have one already and use it as a credit card to get the cash back bonus, but was unsure if they would accept it as a credit card.

Yes, I did it last years with this card.
But remember that you have to have enough money in paypal account to cover the cost of car. It is treated just like credit card, they will hold funds in account at time of rental pickup for the amount of car rental.

i belive it depends on the rental car company, best to check first.
