Payment options for our trip?

I can't quite find the answer to this question.

I will have exact dates for our summer '08 trip in a few weeks, and will be ready to make the big phone call.

My question is, how much deposit is expected at the time you make the reservations? I have read that you need to have it all paid off by 45 days before, but I can't figure out how much you need at the beginning, or what payments are expected in the interim.

We do not have the full $$ to pay for it in total right now, although we will by about February. However, all things being equal, the longer we can keep the money, it will be earning interest in our savings account.

I am going to need to go thru Disney to do all our ressies. I requested quotes from both Small World and Dreams Unlimited, but they do not book Fort Wilderness Campground, which is where we'll be staying.

What does Disney require as an up-front deposit, and what payment options are available?

If you are purchasing a package you are required to pay $200 within 14 days of making the reservation.
If it is room only you must pay the equivalent of one night...I think you also have 14 days on that also.
A package must be paid in full 45 days before arrival.
Room only can be paid upon arrival.
Payment options? Not too sure, we use our Visa Debit card.

WDW requires $200.00 as a deposit and then the rest 45 days prior to your reservation date as you stated.

So we'll need $200 either when we make the package reservation or within 14 days, and in theory could pay the entire rest of it off right before 45 days before the trip. (I do plan to do it before then, however)

We've got $200. It's the other 3 grand we're still working on.
