Payment of DDP Question...

I'm renting from an awesome DVC member, and we booked and signed contracts in October of last year (2010), before the policy of paying for dining plans at time of adding them to the reservation went into effect. Our ressie on the Disney site is indeed showing us as having the DDP, but we were not required to pay for it because we were in under that deadline. I understand that we will be paying for that when we check in.

My question is about the pricing. The contract we have with the DVC member we are renting from has the 2010 DDP price listed, and our check in date is 9/11/11. I'm not looking to trap the DVC member into paying the difference between the 2010 price and the 2011 price or anything, but I would like to know which we will be expected to pay at check in so that I may budget accordingly.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I would think you would have to pay the 2011 pricing since you didn't pay for it in advance, thereby locking in the 2010 price.

Yeah, thats what I thought too, since we're checking in this year, but I'm ASSuming that MS must have told the owner the 2010 pricing when he booked it, or else he wouldn't have chosen that number to put in our contract *shrug*

I think I'm just gonna budget for the 2011 pricing. If the front desk at checkin asks for a lesser amount, I guess it'll just be a happy surprise :)

Typically they do not add dining to DVC reservations for the following year until they have the pricing. There is no way to "lock in" the previous price. The member probably typed in the 2010 number in error.

Looked at the 2011 pricing, and it actually seems as if I was mistaken. The 2011 price IS what's on our contract. It just seemed cheaper than I remembered :confused3
