I just received my res. confirmation sheet. It says my full payment is due three weeks before I arrive. I have always paid in full when i arrive at my resort. Is this new? will they cancel my ressi. if I don't send the payment in advance?

That was on my AP reservation too, but not my AAA reservation. I think they are treating it like a package. And yes your reservation will cancel if not paid in full by that date. Mine also said that no more notifications would be sent. I just went and paid mine off.

I also had this on my confirmation that I recieved yesterday. We upgraded to a preffered when I called about the SP discount and they didn't have standards left. I called Disney last night, and the CM asked me if I had paid one night's fee. I told him I paid a deposit but was unsure of wether it was the equivalent of one night. He said that if I had in fact paid one night, then I should just ignore the statement about the payment being due that day, and pay at checkout. He never let me know if I had paid the correct amount so I guess I will have to call again. I figure I probably didn't considering the upgrade and all. Did you use the discount that was just available to make your res.? If you did, I bet that they have a minimum of one night's stay per room as a requirement for using the discount. We are just going to try to pay ours by that date so we won't have to worry about it later. Hope this helps.

I got the same message. I figured I would call CRO to confirm later. I have actually paid more than a one night's deposit, so that should do it. If anyone finds out other information, please let us know.

I have the same "NOTICE" on my reservation that I just received and since you all did to, I called CRO and talked with Bobbie Joe. She was really nice!! Anyway, she said to not worry about that, it only applies to packages (room, tickets, dining, etc.) She did say that she's had several calls about this and it was a problem with the computer system.

Room only reservations can be paid in full (after the deposit of one night) when you arrive at the resort. If it is a package it must be paid in full before you arrive.

At risk of sounding like a grump, this post has been repeated about 4 times already. Most of them are still on the front page. Why does no on try to read for a similar subject before they post.

Anyway, it was a mistake. As stated in other posts, if you call CRO they will tell you that your ressie shows payment due on arrival. I had a ressie at AP rate for GF. The next day i changed it to CR. When the GF confimation came it said payment due 45 days prior. When the CR one came it said due on arrival. I called CRO, they said it was a glitch and that all confimations sent after Weds. would show the proper date.

I was told by a CM that I would get a confirmation sheet, and it would have that notice, and he said just ignore it.

Maybe some people don't have time to review every post. sorry if the post bothered you. I called and they did say I could pay when I am there. Thank you to everyone who replied

Im not saying i was bothered. What i am saying is that if you have time to type out the post, and time to see if anyone replies, you have time to go to the front page and look. I know the serch function is no good. But 5 minutes on the front page would have given you your answer and saved you the waiting for a reply.

And for the record, it IS slightly annoying when you open a board and you have to sort through 4 or five posts all about the same thing just to see what people have to say.

Jake & Ryans Mom - Glad you feel better knowing you can pay when you get there.

For the other post - no one say's you have to spend all that time wading through "repeat" posts. If you don't want to spend the time, just ignore them.

If my post is annoying to you quit coming back to it. All of us are not discussion board pros like you seem to be. I asked a simple question.

Ouch! To the OP, I am on these boards all the time :confused3 and I never noticed this topic before. Glad you brought it up and glad the subject was clarified. We need to be nice to each other, nothing on this board should be "annoying" if it is an honest question.

THANK YOU

WOW! Just had to respond. I've only been on these boards for a few months but never read anything like that before. That was HARSH. Definitely a little more that grumpish. To the OP --try to laugh it off as arrogant ignorance.

It does'nt bother me, she reminds me of that one mom out of thousands that you see at the parks that is either yelling at her kids or bossing her husband around. Thanks for your post

Whoa!
Back the truck up here. I NEVER once made a personal attack against ANY of you. I simply stated that it would be faster in the long run AND easier for everyone else on the boards if we didn't fill up the pages with 900 people all asking the same question.
Maybe i did come off as a little harsh. But to make a statement about me that i MUST be a mom who yells at my kids and bosses everyone around is uncalled for and just vindictive.

This thread is no longer helpful so I will be closing it. It would be helpful if everyone would look at the threads before posting but that always doesn't happen. Remember the DIS is for helping others. Please keep that in mind when posting. Thank you everyone.
