While the kiosks have card reading terminals to take credit cards and KTTW room charges, they are notorious for system crashes.

So I say, if you want to charge to the room, go for it. But be sure to bring cash just in case the card terminals are temporarily out of service!

Agreed. While sometimes a pain to keep up with, do have some cash on hand. The system crashes can be quite an inconvienence, and they do happen.
