Has anyone used the Payless version of these for the parks? Are they just as comfortable? i would like to get them for the DDs but I hate to pay $30 each for the real (and ugly!---no flames, please) things.

Also, has anyone tried the flip-flop version? Comfy?

TIA :)

I HAVE!!!! I took two pair of Airwalks with my for our trip over spring break. LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED them. Wore them every day, except one - on that day I wore my one pair of Croc Niles...and I HATED them with a passion - blisters and throbbing feet within hours. So back to my airwalks and heaven for me feet the next day. RUN to Payless, you won't be dissapointed!! :thumbsup2

I have 2 pairs of the Payless Airwalks- black and pink/yellow tie dye. I took the black ones to WDW last fall. They were great! Wore them both with socks and without- my feet stayed comfy and didn't get tired out. I did get one blister on the side of my foot- I had socks on with them, and it rained. The socks got wet, and they rubbed against my foot. So, I did get a blister, but the Airwalks weren't at fault.

Go ahead and try out the Airwalks- I really like them!

I love them. Im on my feet all day at work. Im a nurse and they feel like you are wearing clouds on your feet. I had bought the ones at walmart and they are okay but the payless are great.

I bought a pair but haven't been to the parks yet. I also bought a pair at Target which I thought I liked UNTIL I tried the airwalks. I think the airwalks are FAR more comfortable than the ones I got at Target and even more comfortable than the crocs although I only tried the crocs on, didn't wear them all day.

I don't think you will be disappointed. I think I am going to go back and buy another pair this weekend. Hopefully they still have BOGO 1/2 price!

Both my kids have the airwalks and love them. My dd has 3 pair and wants more.
The Walmart ones are terrible very hard.

Do these make your feet sweat though? I have read other threads that the real crocs do not make your feet sweat but that the knock-offs do. What have you found? We are going the last week of August so I know I will be sweating!
Thanks again for the info! :)

I have the Target version also and I really like them. We are going to WDW in August too and I am trying to find something comfortable to wear on my feet instead of hot sweaty sneakers. I have been wearing them ALL the time to see if they cause problems and so far they have been great! My feet do not sweat in them at all. One word of caution though - if you wear them in the sun you will notice when you take them off you have a weird dot pattern on the tops of your feet - it looks like some funky polka-dot disease! My 5 yo DD (Colleen) wants a pair too, and after hearing all the good things about the Payless version, I think I'll get her a pair there and another pair for me!

DD5 loves hers. She has the pink and purple tie dye pair. Said they were very comfortable!

I just spent 2 days at Hershey park and wore these. 8 hours the first day and 10 the second. No problems. It even rained and my feet were fine This is the same pair I wore to disney last December and wore 4 out of the 7 days and they felt and my feet felt GREAT!!!!

I love them!!!

ENJOY!!!!

I am so glad you posted after your trip. I bought them at Payless duing BOGO, Black regular style for myself (I just couln;t do the crazy color yet) and then a pair of fuschia/yellow flip flop style. I have been wearing them around a little but not on any long walks yet. You have encouraged me with this post!

I bought both of my kids a pair of the Airwalks. DS wore his on a walk around the block and got a blister from the shoe :guilty: . DD absolutely loves hers - she refuses to wear any other shoes. I do have to struggle with her to keep them on, though. I bought myself a pair of Croc Caymans (because when I tried the Airwalks I found that it seemed like I needed them 2 sizes bigger than my normal shoes and I just couldn't face buying size 11 shoes - the Crocs fit well in size 10 - one size bigger than usual.) The Crocs are okay so far. Not fabulous, but not horrible either.

I've been reading about payless airwalks on a few threads. I'm a guy that has never worn clogs. How do they stay on :confused3
I can't think of any rides on WDW where you feet dangle, but I'm still worried.

Thanks!

You can turn the straps around and over your heels they are very secure this way.

I bought a pair of the men's closed Airwalks. The have a back on them, and a velcro strap in the front. I couldn't see myself wearing the Crocs, but thought I would try these. I am so glad I did, and look forward to getting another pair. I wear these more than my Nikes.

I bought a pair for DD and they did not fit her well at all. She didn't complain about them hurting but they were way too big, but the next size down was way too small. Ended up buying her crocs and they fit perfect. She wears them all the time. I think they might be comfortable if you can find the right fit.

I have several pairs of each and can't tell the difference. If anything the airwalks might be slightly more cushy.

We use them for the garden and such. I love how our pairs from Payless are cushy and all different colors. I bought the swirls. Haven't tried them at Disney but am willing to. I love my Birks for there. You won't be sorry. Go to Payless!!! They have some really cool red, white, and blue ones right now! :thumbsup2

Has anyone seen any colors other than red, white and blue in the infant sizes at payless?

The fit my 21mo great who had food surgery 2 months ago. I want to get her another pair.

A funny one I got my 6yo the purple ones.. she said her friends at school said they were ugly :confused3 . I told her she looked cool and one of these days they will catch on.
