It's not worth the hassle for the 5% discount using the target red card to purchase them in $50 increments. If you happen to be spending $2,000 it will save you $100- but if you need to cancel your trip because of an emergency guess what? You're stuck with 2k in disney gift cards!!

I don't think the gift cards expire. We go often enough we would use them eventually, either at the parks, the Disney store in town, or DCL.
