Paying OOP and using TS credits at a meal -- how is it figured out?

I am still in the research stage of figuring out if getting the Deluxe plan for one room (2 adults) - credits to be split over 6 adults (4 adults in anther room)

Because the Deluxe plan is way too much food with all the apps and desserts I am considering using 3 credits for a meal with 6 adults (and 1 kid) . How do they determine which meals get tied to the TS credits- obviously i would want our more expensive meals to be tied to the credits, but how do they really figure it out?

If we all order and it comes time to pay and we tell them to use 3 TS credits and we will pay the rest OOP how do they figure it out?

Any experience with this?

Tell them up front who is ordering using the dining plan and who is ordering and paying out of pocket. They’ll split the check when the put in the order.
