I have always booked packages with Disney and had them paid off before our trips. This summer, we have a resort only reservation and are buying tickets separately. I have paid for the first night at booking, however, I would like to pay off the balance ahead of time. Is this possible?

You bet! I'm always paid up before we get there. Unfortunately, I don't believe you can do it on-line/DME, as you can with packages. You'll have to call and get a warm body.

Oh, that's great! I didn't see anything online on how to do it so I thought maybe the only option is to pay at the resort at check-in. Thank you!

Yes, unless they've recently changed MDE, making payments on a room-only reservation requires a phone call. There is now an option to make payments through the automated phone system (no need to wait for a warm body), but for whatever reason, the automated system never understands me. I do always have to speak to someone.

I like paying for vacations with my Disney Vacation Account. Hopefully the CM on the phone will know how to do this. I had trouble once with this so I always paid online after that.

I have found that it confuses some CMs when you say you want to make a payment using your Disney Vacation Account. Some don't know what that is. My wife started telling the CM that she wants to make a payment with a Gift Card as the process on the CMs side is exactly the same. Then she just gives them the Disney Savings Account number instead of a Gift Card number. She hasn't had any trouble since doing that.

My visit starts early in June. I made monthly payments up until last month when I paid it off. I have been using the same agent at SWV for the past 10 years. When I'm ready to make a payment I just send her a brief email stating so and she takes care of it for me and sends an updated invoice of my payments/new balance. So, I've never actually had to do it directly through Disney but it can definitely be done.
