Yes, and more importantly, you can put your Rewards points already earned throughout the year toward you MF. WE this last year, and it worked out fine. This year, we'll have at least $300 to put toward the MF. Good Luck!

I believe Paults is talking about the Disney Visa Reward Points...the points (which have a monetary value) that you get for using your Disney Visa-not the points you use for stays with DVC. Two separate animals. You can use your rewards points to pay for anything Disney...including your DVC maintenance fees.

that is what i am talking about, the points you earn when you use the card. i didn't know you could use those towards maintenance fees. don't want to sound dumb, but who do you contact to do that? we have accumulated a lot of reward points that we haven't used yet.

I believe you have to pay in full when using a credit card.

You can use the points you earned and transferred to a "rewards" card to make a payment. I've had conflicting information from CMs on doing this in combination with monthly payments. I think you can make an "extra payment" with the points at any time and continue to have the monthly amount deducted until you are fully paid. I had one CM tell me you'd have to pay it all off at the point you used the points but that didn't prove true when I did use them two years ago.

FYI -- if you get a Disney gift card, this can also be used to pay dues.

I have twice now used two rewards cards and then charged the difference.

I am glad that I found this thread. I use the card for numerous business purchases and the points rack up rather quickly. Normally DW and I would blow them on merchandise for family members but I will have to consider using them to pay MF.

If you pay your dues in full every year (rather than by monthly debit) you can apply your reward dollars to what you owe and pay the balance with a credit card. You don't need to have enough reward dollars for the entire amount due.

If you pay your dues by monthly debit, I think you can still apply the reward dollars towards what you owe and continue to pay off the balance via monthly debit. I don't think they reduce the monthly payment amount though. If I remember correctly, someone reported that Disney continues to deduct the original amount every month and you end up paying it off early.

Thank you all for this thread. I had no idea that you can pay with your reward card. I plan on using what ever Reward dollars I have and paying the rest with my Disney Visa. Every bit helps with the way the economy is and with MF due right after the holidays!!!
