Paying meal with part DDP and part cash?

On one of our nights we are eating at a signature restaurant. We will only have 2 adult TS credits left (for 2 adults) so one person will pay cash for meal. Naturely we want to use the TS credits to pay for the more expensive appetiser, main and desert. And pay cash for the cheaper ones. Will the receipt do this automatically? Or does one of us have to order the 'expensive' items and then swap on the table?

Thanks

Tony

The receipt won't do it (or anything) automatically, and your server may or may not. You will actually get two entirely separate receipts. Swapping at the table if necessary seems to make the most sense. Oh, and most likely an 18% gratuity will be added automatically to anything for which you pay cash.

We did this last year at Yachtsman. We told the waitress that I was paying cash and my husband was on DDP. The waitress was as nice as she could be and we tipped her as if I had gotten a larger meal than I ordered.
