OK - I have been "read only" on DIS for a long time. Have learned a lot of great stuff but never felt the need to register and write. I'm not really much of a writer and always figured there was somebody who knows as much or more than me who would post answers anyway........ BUT I just found this thread and became compelled to join the fray. My two children are grown and I cherish the memories of our Disney vacations along with all the magic. So, anything that I can do to help bring a little Disney magic into other childrens lives is OK with me.

My wife and I will be at WDW 10/12 thru 10/18 for our aniversary. 27 terrific years that started with our honeymoon at WDW in '78.

We would be thrilled to participate in this "pay it forward" program. We will send cards to the first 3 that PM.

This is a really neat idea. We are taking the kiddies for our first family trip to WDW Oct. 5-12, so if anyone wants us to send out a postcard from there, please contact me (preferable through the email option rather than PM, as I don't have a chance to visit the DISboards very often).
I'm awaiting a reply from someone who will be there at the end of this month, in hopes that they can send us a few cards.

DD7 got her postcard today thanks to a wonderful person on this board. We are going to be there Sept. 30 - Oct. 8. I will send out to the first 5 to pm me if anyone wants one while we're there. The look are dd's face was priceless, she kept giggling and jumping up and down. Then she ran to hide it from me because I told her I didn't get one that I wondered how Mickey knew she was going to be there. This is a great thread and I hope it keeps going.

This is a wonderful idea!!! I would like my daughter to receive a post card from any of the characters. She is 5yrs. and this will be her first time visiting.We are going Feb. 4-10. I would also be willing to send some out on my vacation. But I'm new to this stuff, what is a pm? Please let me know if someone will be willing to send her a postcard and how to go about contacting someone. Thanks.

I also have a couple of postcards to send to Canada and I checked in www.usps.com and international shipping is US$0.70. I am planning to get some Disney booklets of stamps to use for the postcards. Hope this helps.

Just went to the post office on Friday to get the stamps that I will need when I send my postcards. Postage to Canada is only $.50 for a postcard. However, for the postcard that I'm sending to Australia it is $.70.

My kiddos just got theirs on Friday - My 3 boys were so excited and then they were even more excited when they found out that MM had sent their cousin one because it will be her first trip (she is 14 I just got custody of her in August) - this is an amazing thing to do -

I stil have room for one more kiddo - We will be there October 8 - 14 - First on to PM me with name, address and at least 3 fav. characters!!!

What a fantastic idea. Wow, I am in awe of how generous people are with thier time and talents on this board. I know our trip will be even more special b/c I have gathered so many great tips from this board, including securing the CRT Breakfast!
