What forms of payment does Dsiney take for the deposit? We dotn really use cc anymore and I dont wanna use my debit card with all the hassles I have read about. I called Disney and they said they only take cc. So whats the real deal

thanks.....:D

Hi. I know they will take checks for payments b/c their reservation form has a section on the bottom to send in check payments. They may only take cc deposits over the phone, but I bet they will accept a check for deposit thru the mail. Call back and ask specifically that. Also, get the street address to send the check and send it priority mail clearly marked with your reservation number. I would not EVER use a Debit card. Do you have a credit card you could use, then pay for the balance when you get the bill? That is what we did for our Visa Kids go free trip. As I saved up money I would call and make a payment then pay the balance when I got the bill. We also do not use cc's anymore, except American Express. Debt is a bad bad thing for families.

I hope you have a wonderful trip.

exactly debt is soo bad
yeah we have a cc and I ended up doing that but they said it was the only way...

A credit or debit card is the only way on the phone, but you can send a check through the mail once your reservation has been made. The confirmation paper you receive has a space to enter check info. on when sending in a payment. I have sent in partial payments with a check as well when we have had a long wait until our trip and I wanted to pay it off before we go.

A couple people posted that it was charged 3 times by mistake, which caused their checking account to overdraw.

One thing to remember with checks, they have to arrive before the 14 day deadline for deposits or your reservation will be cancelled. If you wait until you get the confirmation, you will probably be down to only a few days for them to get it in time.

Even if you hate credit cards, it's the best way. You can always mail the credit card co a check before you even get the bill.

We usually pay with a credit card. We have made the reservation then sent a check for the deposit. I think the check had to be received within 14 days of the reservation being made.

I paid with debit - the whole kit and kaboodle - guess I was naive at the time, but we dont have or use credit cards, and i wanted to go to Disney... if I had planned it out further, I might have gone the check route, but I didnt,

so far I've checked my bank statement and they just took out that huge amount once...

You can send in a check for your deposit. Usually your reservation confirmation comes with a addressed envelope to send your check in for the deposit. There is a tear off portion at the bottom on the reservation which you can include with your check.

The address for check deposits is:

Walt Disney Parks & Resorts
12698 Collections Center Drive
Chicago, IL 60693-0126

WDW recently changed the address to where check deposits are mailed. Until the recent past, they went to Lake Buena Vista. I recently made a ressie at the Beach Club and did not recieve a confirmation. I was given this address; I just put my reservation # on the check. I called CRO three to 4 days later and the deposit had been noted on my ressie.
