Paying for trip

Hi all. Well I am finally going to book our trip. DH and I grew up in FL so we've been to DW a lot but it'll be our first trip with the kids (3 and almost 5 at the time of the trip). So I am WAY excited to see their faces.

My question though is about paying for the trip. I read alot about making payments for the trip, can you not just pay cash for the room etc when you get there?

I believe if it is a package deal (room and tickets), payment must be paid in full 45 days before arrival.
For room only, I think there is something about one night deposit being due 5 days before arrival. But I may be wrong on this one.
