Hi,apologies if this info is elsewhere but tried searching without any joy!
I've read somewhere that you can pick up a "chargecard" from your Hotel (staying at Sequoia Lodge) to use for all purchases in the park the advantage being when you pay with your registered credit card at the end you have 1 bill and therefore only 1 currency exchange charge from your credit card company. Can anybody confirm the details please?Does it apply to all restaurants too?
Thanks in advance.

You give them your credit or debit card when you check in & they will give you your charge ID. You can use it in all of the shops & I know you can use it in most of the restaurants if not all of them except McDonalds & possibly other counter service.

How every if you happen to have a Post office or Nationwide credit card then you don't pay any fees.

When the accumulated balance gets to EUR 300.00 they debit your credit card and start again.

I believe that the Rainforest Cafe doesn't accept it.

Hi philhar and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Your Hotel id can be used for meal and merchandise purchases. As stated you will get charged in €300 blocks.
We used our nationwide credit card to good effect and still ahve money left that we thought was spent because of the better exchange rate :)

Thanks for this little tip about GPO or Nationwide credit cards. We always use the pink ticket thingy (hotel chargecard) but didn't know about the nationwide card with no fees.

We have a NW CC - they don't charge conversion fees unlike most other cards therfore as stated you end up with a slightly better rate - charge is normally around 2.75%. We use it all the time and have never had any trouble paying with it in any of the shops etc in Disney.

Rgds
