Paying for the Disney Dining Plan

I thought you could pay for the Disney Dining Plan with a Disney gift card when you add it to your reservation on the DVC website. Now it looks like you can pay only with a credit or debit card. Has this changed recently?

AFAIK, you've always had to call Member Services to use Disney Gift Cards when adding a Dining Plan.

Yes, to use Disney Gift Cards you have to call, also they prefer it if you load up a card at the Disney Gift Card Website with the full amount of your payment, up to $1000.00. It makes the phone call a lot shorter if you only have one card to give them the number, instead of 5 or 6.
