Paying for the DDP with Gift Cards

I wasn't sure if this should go in this forum or the budget forum, but it is kind of DVC related. We are planning on adding the DDP for our trip in October. Our traveling party consists of 4 adults and 2 children. The cost of the DDP will be about $1200. I'm assuming I can pay this with gift cards. I was thinking of buying gift cards at one of our local supermarkets. They give you a discount on gas for buying gift cards from them. The problem is, I think $100 is the highest denomination. So, I'm not sure if I'd be able to use 12 cards, and how would that work? Would I need to read each card to them? Has anyone paid for DDP with gift cards before? How did it work? Was there a maximum number of cards that can be used, or is it possible to merge cards together?

I paid last year with gift cards so yes it can be done. Only problem that I would see is that no matter what she did the computer would not let her take more then one GC for the same amount of $$. I had 3 $100 GCs and it would not let more then 1 of the $100 GCs for the whole $100. So I had to do 1 for $100, one for 99.99 and one for 99.98. I know the grocery stores here just got in the Disney GCs that you can add whatever you want to them.

Thanks, I'll have to look into that at the store. I thought they were only in pre-denominations.
