Paying for Starbucks in the Parks

Hi Everyone! A quick question about paying for Starbucks in the parks. We have a few Starbucks gift cards. Typically we would load them onto the Starbucks app on our phone and pay using the app. I'm assuming the Starbucks in the parks are equipped to take payments through the Starbucks app?

I just don't want to load the gift cards on the app and find out that doesn't work. I know the Starbucks stores in Disney are a little different as far as accepting star rewards, etc.

Yes, they are. You can’t redeem Starbucks Rewards there but you do receive Stars for purchases.

If you are on the Dining Plan, all Starbucks drinks, even Venti-size are considered Snacks for Snack Credit use.

As said above, they take the app for payment. I could have sworn I did cash in a reward at one of the parks when I was there last October, but perhaps I am mistaken. I didn't know in advance that Starbucks was inside of Magic Kingdom on that trip and it was a VERY pleasant surprise. It was brilliant of Disney to put Starbucks in the parks, it is something that is very appreciated by tired parents.

You can redeem Rewards at the 2 Starbucks locations in Disney Springs.

Just a sidenote - the 2 in DS are also the only ones that honor "happy hour" - we got three venti frappes for $9 on Thursday -

Sorry a little off topic but can you pre-order on the app for the Starbucks at the MK? My husband can't live without a Starbucks first thing in the morning. I'm glad now that the welcome show is in the park and they let you in early so he can get the coffee without wasing all the time we spent getting there early to get on the rides before the crowd. I know he was able to pre-order at Downtown Disney at Disneyland.

No, no mobile ordering for the in-park Starbucks.

But when/if they ever add this, I will be VERY HAPPY! Those lines are bonkers.

It would be so amazing if they allowed it. I pack my own individual bottles of the iced coffees to avoid Main St Bakery. Last time we went there it took almost 40 minutes. They actually handed me a paper to time it.

The Theme Park Starbucks locations are operated by Disney, so you CAN'T redeem rewards and no mobile ordering. Disney could offer reward redemption and mobile ordering at the Theme Park locations if they wanted do, but obviously elected not to.

The Disney Springs (FL) and Downtown Disney (CA) Locations are operated by Starbucks, so you CAN redeem rewards and they offer mobile ordering.

You will earn stars at ALL Disney Starbucks if paying with a registered Starbucks card and you can pay using the mobile app at ALL Disney locations.
