I want to buy the silver passes for my family as we will be returning quite a few times. I understand that if I buy the tickets I will receive a voucher to exchange for the actual pass when we first visit. What I do not understand though is the expiration date of the pass. I have read that it becomes activated when you first use it, and that if paying monthly you can use it straight away. What I would like to know is when will it become activated if paying monthly? At the end of the initial period will my monthly renewal cost be charged immediately, or not until my pass has actually expired? Hope this makes sense.

Don't know the answer to your question, but I wanted you to be aware that they are offering family packs of silver passports for discounted prices. It isn't on the website, but you can get it if you call. A four pack is only $75 a piece.

We have the gold Pass. Two years ago I bought them the middle of May and used the Easy pay. Three of us went to Sea World on Memorial Day that year. We got our plastic passes with our pics on them that day so ours were activated before I saw the first charge on my credit card. My one son did not use his till July and that is when his pass started .
The pass you will get will not be like the one I have. I think it is paper now and each time you go in the park they will do a finger scan. With my pass we don't have to do that.

Memorial Day this year is when my pass would have ended, but we received a letter from Sea World in April that said if we did nothing, they would continue charging my credit card the same amount. We are on a month to month with them. We can cancel our gold cards whenever we want or keep them going indefinitely. Personally, I see a good long run for my husband and I but will probably drop my sons when my youngest gradutes from UCF next year.
I definitely can say we are glad we got the 2 year-----only I need to put the pass on a striing. LOL I forgot to get our % off of meals and drinks at Busch Gardens last Sunday. I didn't use it for drinks or even the shoes and tea pot I bought:-(

Thankyou so much for the replies, I'll go and order my tickets now :)
