My stay at the cabins is 1/10-16. I would not need to pay in full until Dec. However, we have the Disney gift card amount ready to go. Any reason that I should wait? If I needed to cancel before 30 days, I still get a refund, right? I don’t want to jump the gun. However, I wouldn’t mind just paying it off with the credit and being done.

You can pay it off now. The only reason to wait, IMHO, is if there is any chance you will cancel. I, personally, would rather hold onto my money or credit until the last minute.

I usually pay it off about a week before it's due. There is a comfort for me knowing that it's paid for and I don't have to think about that cost while I'm spending even more money at the parks.

Thank you for the answers. Yeah, I think I’ll pay it off. If it was cash, I would wait, but the Disney gift cards are not being used anywhere else. The trip would not get cancelled, just rescheduled if we had to because of whatever. Thank u

For me personally, I prefer to use a credit card and pay it asap so I can focus on paying that bill down before the vacation starts.
Once that is paid off and the time off is approved, then all we have to do is just show up! :teeth:

OP, I always use discounted GCs to pay for our room and all room charges during our stay, this way hardly anything gets charged to our CC:) Since we always do RO reservations, I normally wait and pay it off a week before I go. Just remember to keep the GC just in case you have to get a refund.

I'd wait, there is benefit to paying early especially in today's times. FYI, you may already know this but don't throw your gift cards away after you use them. If for any reason, you do need a refund, WDW will refund the money to that gift card.
