Paying for lunch at BOG

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I cannot seem to find an answer!

We were able to snag lunch reservations here for our upcoming trip. There are a total of 14 of us dining (5 different families). I used my credit card on file with MDE to reserve but don't want to pay for everyone.

I know we can order ahead of time to skip some of the waiting. We will definitely do that as the younger kids are not great at waiting when hungry. However, most of us will have Disney gift cards to use for payment. Can we all pay for our own lunches using a gift card? I just am not understanding how it all works. Does everyone have to use their own MDE account and order? If so, can you use a Disney gift card as payment through that app?

Yes. A pre-order must be done as a group, with one payment. Checks cannot be split if you pre-order. If you want to split checks, you will need to queue and order at BOG.

The credit card you used to hold the ADR has nothing to do with how you pay. In fact, I don't think you could ask them to just default that that CC even if you wanted too.

Yes. But they won't take multiple gift cards and just take, say $8.81 off one, and $9.02 off another, unless that's just how much is on those cards.

Yes, we did this on our last trip. We preordered and used the gift card to pay at the restaurant.
IMO, pre order if you can. Every time I've been there the order kiosk lines were really long. If you preorder you can have everyone contribute the cost of their meal and put it on one gift card.
