We are renting points to stay at the BCV studio. I do not want to do any work on vacation and am going to pay the fee for daily housekeeping. I think it is 25.00. What will I get for this? Will I get new towels everyday and trash taken? Will they actually clean the bathroom and vacuum each day if I am paying this fee. I have to vacuum my house at least every other day. I just cannot stand walking around on a floor with dirt or crumbs. Will they make the bed and put up the pull out couch?
If I am only getting new towels and trash taken why am I paying $25 instead of the $10?
Also, I know people have had great debates on taking pool towels. I will not take the pool towel to use in the room, but I know at other hotels our little ones will stay in the pool until the last minute and wrap up in a towel to go back to the room. If we are paying the full service, will the housekeeper take them for us when they clean or do we need to take them back to pool area?
Just want to know what to expect.
Lo

Yes, you will get a full cleaning including towels, sheets, vacuuming, replenishing soaps, empty trash, etc. when you order the extra housekeeping services.

The Trash/Towel service will provide fresh towels and soaps and empty trash, but no sheets or other cleaning.

Have a great stay! :)

Actually, one of the benefits of staying on points is no daily housekeeping. You don't have to worry about coming back from the parks for a nap or to change clothes and find housekeeping there. You will have a vacuum in your room so you can run it around if you feel the need to.

Instead of full cleaning (where they make the beds, replace your towels, take out the trash, vacuum), you might just want trash and towels each day or every other day.

We make our beds every day at home, so it is nothing big to make that bed when we get up. You can fold the sheets into the fold out sofa and close up the bed. Fold up the blanket and put it in the closet.

You'll have extra cash for souveniers and treats this way.

I totally agree with the original poster-there is NO WAY I'm vacuuming on vacation!!! We just got back Monday from a stay at WLV using rented points. We paid the additional for daily housekeeping & everything was included-just like a regular hotel stay. We had a great time & hope you do too.

Just to be clear - it's $25 PER DAY . For a 5 night stay, that's $100 if you get it daily (not counting arrival & departure day). Seems like alot to me. How about every other day? You can pick and choose the days you want.

I've stayed in a 1 bedroom for 6 nights many times and have never felt the need to get extra housekeeping.

I realize it is $25 per day. We are staying 4 nights. Checking in on a Sun and checking out on Thur. I was figuring $100 for 4 nights but I think I will only need it for Mon, Tues. and Wed. since it will be clean on Sun and we are leaving on Thur.
Is this right?
Thanks,
Lo

I agree there is no need to pay
for housekeeping the first or last day of your stay.

We usually stay in a studio and we have the same routine when we stay one of the non DVC resorts that provide housekeeping. We never found a need to have the housekeeping service.

I guess it is a personal preference whether someone wants housekeeping. Although we are on vacation we never felt that not having housekeeping we were doing extra work. The resorts are so beautiful I guess we automatically keep things neat. Enjoy with or without housekeeping!! (smile)
