Paying for goodies at F&WF booths?

We plan to take full advantage of F&WF this trip, unlike the ones in '02 and '03.

They accept the gift cards too. Last year there were intermittent problems at some of the booths not being able to take anything but cash. It seems that sometimes their little machines run out of power and they have to wait for a back up to arrive, so it is a good idea to have a little cash on hand just in case.

we ran into this a couple times. Mostly, we were able to use the Disney gift cards and it made life SO much esaier! But do plan on having some cash on hand, just in case.

ANy news yet if the booths will accept the snack credits from the Disney Dining Plan? They did for the last 2 years...hoping for a third!

The booths use little Palm Pilot devices on a network that must have trouble communicating sometimes. I recognized the device as it is one I have used at work myself. I wouldn't be surprised if they do update them as they are getting a little dated. As long as they are up they can take almost any type of payment.

we're planning to use our snack credits at the booths, along with our room key (when the snack credits run out!) - but we're also bringing plenty of small bills, just in case their machines conk out

Make sure you have some cash on hand. Last year, some booths were having trouble iwth their card machine and cash took a lot less time, especially if you already have some smaller bills.

Have an ID. My 46 year old mother got carded at some booths last year.
