Yes you can!

Yes! I did and got a zillion credit card points. In my case, I paid maybe 10% down on the card. Then I paid half of the remainder, so I would stay under the credit limit of the card. Then paid off the card. Then paid Disney the other half. Then paid off the card again.

We did as well. They ran the card over a couple weeks. I just kept on mailing in payments on credit card so I could keep on charging. Basically, by charging DVC it gave me a free airline ticket since we used our United Credit card.

Yes, and they'll stagger the charges (within reason) in case you have a limit you are bumping up against. So you might pay 1/2 and then make a payment and then a week or 2 later pay the remainder.
