paying for dining plan

I am a new member, but was just on the phone w/ MS yesterday and they told me the DDP "had to added no later than 4 days before my resv.".
Seems MS is giving different info on DDP?

I have a similar question. I thought I had been told by MS that you could only use one form of payment. I dont want to use my credit card because between 2 Disney reward cards and 1 gift card, I can pay the DDP in full. How many forms of payment will they take?
If they only take one, could I remove people from my room and gradually add 1 person at a time back and pay for their DDP until I get all 5 people back in the room? (does that make sense)?
