Paying for DDP

Hi, Sams Club has Disney Gift Cards-for every $100 you spend, you receive a $10 gift card to use at the Disney Store. Anybody know if I can pay for our DDP thru MS using the gift cards? If I buy the GC from Sam's it will give me some fun $ to use at the DS.

Yes, others have reported using a gift card (or cards?) to pay for the DDP through Member Services. That is often recommended as an approach to add DDP for a renter.

Great! We can actually use the $10 "bonus card" to pay for our Park Hopper passes.

It's too bad Sam's doesn't take Visa...I could use my Disney Visa to buy gift cards to pay for the DDP and then get both the $10 gift cards PLUS my Disney rewards

You cracked me up ! DH and I use our Disney Visa to pay for everything! Just got it in February and already have over $300 in rewards built up, we just pay it off online once a week!

I just bought Disney giftcards from our local grocery store to pay our annual dues. I got 10 cents off gas per $50 in gift cards and I put it on my Disney Visa. Double the savings!

They are on the rack of gift cards. They sell in increments of $100.00

You are limited to three payment cards (unique card numbers) when paying for the DDP. So if you are using three cards, the last card used must be able to cover the remaining balance.

just last month i paid a huge chunk of our ddp over the phone using 21 separate gift cards. It took an hour to do, but thanks to an extremely patient CM, we were able to get it done!

Either Disney has changed something recently, or the limitation is with ticketing and APs. We don't do the DDP and only use gift cards during F&W, so I may be confused.

Even better-went to Sams Club to get the gift cards and they were $98.67 for $100. card + $10 free gift card for the Disney Store.

I have not heard of anyone having any luck using the $10 GC for anything other than merchandise at a Disney Store of disneystore.com.

Did they come out with new ones? The disclaimer on the back of the Bonus Disney Store $10 Gift Card says:

This card may not be used toward the purchase of Theme Park passes, gift cards or Disney Dollars.


The regular $100 Disney gift card, however, can be used toward tickets.
You also cannot use the bonus gift card at World of Disney, only the regular Disney Store or online.

My mom took the cards in and they let her use them towards the passes. They told her that she couldn't use them for passes at WDW, but they took them at the Disney Store towards passes.

We have used gift cards received as Christmas gifts for everything from shopping at World of Disney to covering gratuities. Having already paid for deluxe dining it takes the worry out of carrying cash around for the most part.

The previous poster was referring to the $10 BONUS gift card being used only at the Disney Store. The $100 gift card purchased from Sam's Club can be used for virtually anything Disney, like you stated - but the $10 bonus can only be used at a Disney Store or disneystore.com.
