We are military and using the 40% off for the room and getting our tickets at the mil rate too. When we reserve the room do we just pay for one night? Also do you pay for the dining plan in full on the phone? or when you check in? :confused3

It's bee two years since I have booked-out of the loop!
Just trying to make sure I have enough in my account before I call ;)

TIA

Assuming you are booking it all as a package (with your Military discounts) and assuming you are still more than 45 days out from your trip, you would just have to pay the deposit of $200 with the balance due on the 45 day mark.

The dining plan is included in the package price so the $200 deposit would cover it as well until the final payment date.

Hope that helps.

Not sure whether you are booking tickets through disney at a military rate, or planning to use the current promo tickets or tickets purchased through your base, but please be aware, unless there is some exception which I am not aware of for military booking, that you will have to purchase at least a one day ticket along with your room in order to 'qualify' for the dining plan. That is to say, the dining plan can only be added to a booking once that booking includes the room and at least a one-day ticket per person, unless you have annual passes or are staying at a DVC resort using points (whether your own or 'rented').

In the standard case, like the pp stated, at the time of booking - assuming you are more than 45 days from arrival - you will have to put the $200 deposit down and will be able to pay off the remaining balance up to 45 days before you arrive. If you are less than 45 days from arrival, you will have to pay the entire package at booking.

If you have only booked a room and nothing else (no tickets, no dining) then you only have to put down one night's room rate as the deposit.

There is an exception for military. :thumbsup2

OP, I'm not exactly sure what our deposit was based upon, but it was $200, with the balance due 45 days from arrival. We booked room + DDP. Tickets will be purchased separately through MWR/ITT. You can't book these packages online from what I've seen, but have to call directly to book this way.
