Paying for DDP Upon Check-In

I was wondering if anyone knew whether you can write a check for the DDP when you check in at the resort. We made our reservations 11-mos ago and the plan was added by the DVC owner. I was hoping to either write a check for the DDP and for any expenses we incur (will they hold a personal check until you check out so that it all can be paid with that one check?).

I do believe that for DVC the dining plan has to be paid in full 48 hours out from arrival.

Hopefully someone can confirm or advise better.

The last time I stayed on DVC points I paid for the DDP at check in. I don't know if you can pay with check. I would assume you can since it's a set amount, not sure about other charges to the room.

Not sure about the check thing but I am certain that you can pay (and they will expect payment) once you check in. I'm a DVC member and this is the way it's always been handled. Have fun!

Bring two checks. You will have to pay for the Dining Plan when you check in. You won't be able to pay for your accrued expenses until you check out. Two checks.

We just came back from our DVC stay at BC and BLT. You have to pay for the dining plan when you check-in. I don't know if they will let you use a check for that.

I don't think they will let you use the same check for both the dining plan on check-in and the expenses occured when checking out. When I checked in, they charged my credit card immediately for the dining plan at both resorts. When I checked out, there was a separate charge for incidentals.

I was inquiring something similar to this regarding prepay with gift cards and was told that too HAVE to prepay upon check in. Forms could be personal check, cash, credit card our gift cards. Simple call to resort can confirm.
