i have just called disney and it can be done. However i need to go through my travel agent, they are just looking into it now and will call me back. Will update when i know more!

if you could let me know how it is done and how much. thanks x

Ok the travel agent have just booked me 2adult and 2 children to the princess meal for £106 much better than the euro price.

I f you have booked yourself you can call disney on 08448 008 111 and tell them you want to prebook and prepay for the princess meal. You will need your booking ref.

There are specific meals that can be prebooked and paid for
Lucky Nugget Character Buffet
Lucky Nugget Character Tea or Birthday Party
Cafe Mickey
Character breakfast @ Cafe Mickey

I phoned the normal DLP holiday reservation number to add the Lucky Nugget Buffet and a Birthday Cake to our booking and paid upfront. :)

Dont suppose you know the cost if you paid on the day?

I read you can use to half board vouchers for the princess meal which would make it £36 per adult and £16 per child

I will be staying off site at a caravan park. Can I still pre book a character breakfast?

Yes, you can book in advance but you'll have to pay in €€ when you get there. You can do this on 00 33 1 60 30 40 50.

Anyone who's booked a package with Disney can prepay either by adding the meal to their booking or by adding the half-board vouchers to their package. The advantage to this is that they will be paying in ££ rather than €€ so are benefiting from an exchange rate that was set whilst the £ was stronger against the €.

You can also prepay and buy HB vouchers if you book with an agent aslong as you stay in a disney hotel

Under 3's are only free in the buffet restaurants, if you order off the menu for an under 3 in Cafe Mickey and the other table service restaurants then you do have to pay. Another time if she's still very young and wouldn't manage to eat a meal then maybe just let her pick from your plate, the CMs don't seem to mind this. :)

I just phoned this morning to add character breakfast at cafe mickey - got completely thrown by the advisor being american lol, anyway we got in a muddle as he was saying that it was only lunch or dinner at cafe mickey and that breakfast was at lucky nugget, then I said I had read character breakfast was at cafe mickey he then said I can do you a character breakfast at cafe mickey - hello, this is what I first said when I got through lol, just a communication breakdown, all done now I just paid upfront for 2 adults and 1 child - £32 as we are staying in a disney hotel. Email confirmation will be sent now as well as being given the token when we check in. My god this weekend break is going up and up in expense lol.

Its worth every penny though

ooh that is good, does anyone know how much it is for lunch at cafe mickey if you pre-pay?

If you pre-pay by adding it to your booking then it is £21/adult, £11/child up to 2/4/09, £24/adult, £12/child from 3/4/09 onwards. I assume you would choose from the set €30 menu so definitely very good value. :thumbsup2 I remember when we first started going to DLRP the exchange rate was about 1.48 so it worked out the same whether you paid in ££ or €€. How times have changed!! :(

On that link the prices only go up until 8th nov, does this mean after this date the prices will go up? Two price rises a year is pretty steep!

My agent said I can pre-pay the character breakfast only and no other character meals :scared1:

They also said Disney charge a £6 booking fee is this correct?

Disney charge no fees at all for paying for character meals in advance, only the published prices.

Maybe as you haven't booked direct with Disney, its the agents (ie Thomas Cook or Leger) who are being charged the fee, and are then passing that on to you?
