I did this before, but it's been a few years, and I can't remember...

I'm taking my parents for Palo Brunch (no, we don't care that there is no "buffet" any longer). They are in another cabin, but I want to cover theirs. Do I just tell our server that I want everything charged to my room?

TIA!

AFAIK, that's how it works.

I thought you were going to say you got charged for someone else‘s Palo. First cruise I paid for a couples beer and second I bought someone a coffee. Check your portfolios carefully this new system is not error free.

I don’t see why you can’t charge it to your room. You might be able to charge it to the people sitting next to you...kidding of course.

You can even call and tell them before you arrive.

Good to know for the future. In this case they know I'm covering it. :) But it's good to know you can do that if you're surprising the people you're with.

Well, that was nice of you LOL! We had similar mishaps among our family group a few years ago. A mix of people went to the royal tea, from the 3 rooms our extended family group were in, and they got the charges a bit mixed up with that.

I got my niece (who was in a separate stateroom) a makeover at BBB for her birthday and was able to charge that to my room, no problem. I just told them when we arrived for her appointment. I'm sure that Palo CMs do that sort of thing far more often.

They don't take your key card anymore. They just ask for your room number and then match it to your picture. I can see how they get room numbers mixed up with that method.

Actually, it can be hit or miss on the key card. On the Wonder cruise to Hawaii, our Palo server took my card twice (dinner and brunch). Our MDR assistant server took my card for the wine package that I purchased, but not for a couple of after-dinner glasses of port that I enjoyed with dessert. When I asked about this, the assistant server indicated that he only needed the room number.
