Paying for Alcoholic Drinks?

Question-

On other cruises, drinks ordered during dinner brought with them a slip to sign. This was fine, except for the part where every drink ordered required a seperate slip. How does DCL handle this? Will we be given a receipt to sign with each drink we order, or will they keep a tab until the end of the meal?

Thanks-
Erin :D

The servers will bring you one payment slip with all of your purchases tallied at the end of dinner.

The bars will often do this as well rather than present separate slips for each drink.

(our liquor bill is actually our biggest-yikes) you will only get one slip to sign at the end of a sit down meal. If you are at a bar and staying in that seat (ie: during a show) you will only get one bill, if you walk up to a pool side bar you will be given a slip at that time unless you sit down at the bar itself.

Ah....I only wish I could get a bar tab....unfortunately cannot drink with the medication I take...but....I can dream.....Ann...so glad to hear about your good news regarding your health.....and it is even stranger we will be on the same cruise....12/4....and I will be celebrating my birthday too.....glad things are going well for you....wish we were cruising next week......

Thanks, everyone! My Dh will be THRILLED with this news (you know, because it's so hard to sign individual slips  ).

Wow, I'm wondering if we got our drinks with dinner free because we never got a payment slip for the drinks we ordered with dinner. Oh heck never mind, I see the charges for them on our account sheet. I guess maybe it just depends on your servers. We did get a receipt to sign whenever we ordered drinks at the sail away parties and also for drinks we bought at the theater but not once did Fasal bring us one after dinner.

KYCruiseCrazy--

The same has happened to me on previous cruises. On occasion, after dinner, the servers were busy at other tables and we left before they had the chance to bring the slip for the drinks. It's no big dig, they just place it on the account.

The signature is more of a safety device to ensure that the guest is indeed receiving the drink, service, or merchandise that is being charged to their account.
