I'm curious as to when I can expect DVC to begin automatically deducting dues on a monthly basis from my savings account? I had already sent a check for my 2008 dues. I then called member accounting about a week or so later (at the end of January) to initiate the monthly deduction for 2009 dues. I confirmed that they had all of the bank info and had designated the 15th of the month for the withdrawal. Am I right in thinking that the dues will be collected throughout 2008 to cover my 2009 dues statement? Evertime I call member accounting to get a clarification, the wait is up to 30 minutes.

When paying your dues monthly, you do not pay in advance. You will start paying the 2009 dues in January 2009.

If you've already cut them a check for all of 2008's dues, they won't pester you again until next year. You'll receive a letter in advance telling you the dates and amounts they'll be drafting from your account.

Can you specify a date? I always know there's extra in the accounts on the first and the sixteenth..

Automatic dues payments are either on the 1st or the 15th of the month. The January payment will always be on the 15th.

Thanks. I figured that if the 2009 dues were not all paid by the January 2009 due date, that payment would be considered late. That's why I assumed that we would have to "pre-pay" throughout 2008.

I called in the first week of January to have my 2008 dues taken out of my checking account. I picked the day, and the dues were taken out on 1/15 just as I requested.

The January payment is always deducted on the 15th of the month, even if your normal debit date is the 1st.
