There is sometimes a member cash discount of 25%. The room would need to be booked by MS to get the discount, and a deposit equal to 1 night is required at the time of booking.

A member can reserve DVC rooms for cash through Member Services for 75% of the current rack rate if there are any available (and often ones you are looking for are not because what is available for cash discount seems to have no relationship to either DVC availability or Disney Central Reservations availability. You do not get daily room service if you get one those cash reservations.

That is interesting. We have a few months to decide what we need to do but too many vacations planned and not enough points.

There are sometimes better public or AP discounts available, so be sure to look into those. I had a 35% off annual pass room for BWV last month which I cancelled when my points waitlist came through.

We just booked BCV 1 Br from 6-22 thru 6-28. Did not have enough points for the last night, so we paid cash and saved about $150 compared to booking on disneyword.com

Keep watching for general public or AP discounts (if you have one). They can be 30%-35% off. They are not out for June yet. I did an AP discount one time at OKW for the last night after a points stay and they only thing was I had to go to the front desk for new keys that morning. The upside was I got full housekeeping that day.

We are going to HH in August and the rack rate at HH for a 2 bedroom was $535 with my DVC discount it came to $432. This is high season.
