Have stayed on site 3 times now - each time has been a package - paid in advance and in full prior to arrival.

We are staying at two separate WDW hotels this time and have so far paid 1 nights deposit at each. Do you pay the remainder when you check out of each or when you check in? The only reason I ask is that, if we can pay when we check out, we will pay by travellers cheques if we have enough left (and we'll know by then!). If not, I'll pay by credit card and settle up when I get home.

Every time that we have gone to the world, we have paid our bill when we check out of the hotel. What is nice about that, for us, is that you can use your room key like a credit card and charge things back to your room all around the world. This enables us to leave most of our cash, travelers checks and credit cards in the room safe. We just settle up the bill when we check out.

Hope you have a magical vacation.

We have always had room-only reservations (never a package) and, like you, we paid our first night deposit when we reserved our room. Upon check-in, they will charge you for the rest of your stay (you can either keep it on the same credit card you booked your ressie on, a new card, cash, traveler's checks, etc).

Oh, I just looked at my counter and................

ONLY HOURS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have always paid the balance of our stay at check in, and put a card (credit or debit) on our account so that we can charge back to the room. That way we don't have to worry about losing our credit card as we take it out at all the vendors, or losing cash. We still carry cash that we get out of the ATM before we leave the resort, or at the park, but use the resort card for most purchases. You can also put travelers checks or cash on your room account to use in the same way.

I have only stayed on property once but...never charged back to my room. If you loose that room key is it protected and safer than if you actually lost a credit card? What is the benefit besides convenience??
Tks!
Ann

I stayed at the POFQ last week. Since I wasn't giving them a credit card, I paid up front w/ traveller's checks. I was concerned that I might need to check out a day early, and they said I would be reimbursed.

I also got a rollaway bed starting night #2, at a rate of $15.00 per night. Funny thing, on day#4, they left a message for me to come to the front desk and settle my account. . .hehe. . I guess they wanted to make sure I didn't skip out on that $50.00! ;)
