Paying balances at Hotel with a CDN debit card?

We are planning to bring cash for most of the things we need at Disney. If we go over our cash budget and end up charging back to the hotel room, can we pay that balance with a Canadian Debit card?
Also, can you bill tips and meals back to the room too? We have free dining but we have a couple of ADR's above and beyond the ones included and have to pay OOP for them.
I suppose failing that, there must be ATM machines at various places on-site that allow you to take out US cash? Right?

They do not accept Canadian Debit cards. In order to charge to your room, you'll have to provide a credit card. If you do that, you will be able to charge tips, etc back to your room.

If you don't have a credit card, they do have ATM's all over the place, but I think the fees are pretty steep.

I can't speak about Disney specifically but I know that there are standard debit machines that are used in the US that will accept certain Canadian debit cards so I wouldn't rule it out. I know that the machines over the border near us accept most credit union cards and I think Bank of Montreal. It all depends on the machine that Disney uses.

I never used my debit card at the resort, but have used it at several malls and the only one that seems to work is scotia bank card. And yes you can bill the tips and food charges to your room.

That's interesting. I have a Scotia Bank card but they won't except it at any of the stores in the town right across the border from ours. I guess the OP could always just call the Disney resort directly and ask.
