Hi All,

Has anyone paid to join TUGS to rent a timeshare?? Is is a safer way to purchase a timeshare week this way?? I am interested in going to Maui.

Thanks,
Debbie

Hi:
I can't answer your question about Tugs but we used VRBO with no problems in the past and they do offer optional insurance to protect the renter.

i don't think you have to pay to join TUG to rent from a poster there. but be aware that you are renting from an individual and not TUG, which is just a forum like the DIS.

you don't have to pay to rent. You can see the classifieds as a guest and email the person listing the rental.

Like the pp said though, you are renting from a person not TUG.

But, if you use timeshares it's well worth the annual membership to read the great reviews.
