Pay Pal Account, do I have one?

I have been reading on the Board alot about people's paypal accounts and am curious is I have one. I buy on Ebay, but don't sell, I am verified and confirmed. I looked at the Paypal website and couldn't find my answer.

My question is, am I able to accept money from others? TIA so much

yes, if you've got a pay pal account you can receive money.

If the person wants to pay w/ a credit card though, Paypal wants you to sign up for a business account and charge you a %age.

paypal is related to ebay, but you sign up seperately. You would have had to sign up on paypal and gotten a paypal password.

I do have a Paypal account - how do I accept money from people? Do they just go to Paypal.com and put my email address in and then they can send me money?

If that is the case - where does the money go? To the credit card that I have linked to the account? I don't understand

You have to have a bank account linked up in order to accept money. This will allow people to send you money from their bank account. If they want to pay with a credit card, paypal will charge YOU a fee.

Not true. I don't have a bank account linked and can accept money. I just have Paypal cut me a check when I am ready to pull money out (they charge me a fee, but it is the price I pay for protecting my bank account information).

If you are a personal account, you do not pay a fee to receive money, but cannot accept credit card payments. If you are a premier account, you can receive credit cards and pay a fee of around 3% for ALL payments that come to you.
