Has anyone done this? Does DVC accept CC payments for "mortgage" balances? Would there be any issue with getting the CC reward points?
I'd plan on moving the balance quickly to a low interest card, and even with the txn fee, it'll be cheaper than Disney.
There should be no problem paying off your mortgage balance
(as long as you have enough credit on your card ) with Disney Visa Card. We original bought with a card to get airline miles. Just call M.S. and they will take care of things.
They take visa or mastercard for DVC mortgage and maintenance fee payments, But they don't take AMEX. Yet when we bought we used AMEX for the deposit. This had something to do with their contractual arrangements before AMEX and Disney ended their marketing alliance.
We're hoping our OKW waitlist comes through before December so we can put those points on our Disney CC and get the extra Rewards dollars for our January trip. Definitely doable and one of the main reasons I got the card!

They still take AMEX. You just have to use it in the beginning of the purchase. You can use AMEX up until the point you close.
I guess they only want to pay the higher interchange for big charges. I know a few small restaurants around here take AMEX only on the catering side. They don't want to give up 6% of your $20 meal but also don't want to lose your catering bill because they won't take AMEX.
I charged my recent add on to the Disney Visa Card. The CM that took the number chuckled when I said the expiration date and said a lot of people were.
