Pay It Forward

Good Morning fellow Disers

I am frequently asked how people can "pay" me for
DISigns.
I am asking anyone who has had something made for them to
PAY it Forward for a senior person in your community this Holiday Season.
Examples:
Take a plate of christmas cookies to a senior centre.
Decorate a wreath and donate it to a senior center.
Assist in shopping and wrapping.
Sit and have a cup of holiday cheer with a senior.
Offer to take a Senior shopping.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I am actually making a fruit basket and some cookies for my neighbors across the street and going over for a long visit to catch up as I know there has been some health issues this past week... (I actually live in an older section of town with elderly neighbors all around... they have taken my kids in as their own grandkids over the years!)

Our church adopted a family with nine children for Christmas. We have an older congregation and many of them can't get around very well. I was able to take the money they wanted to donate and do the shopping for them. It was great fun!

my favorite pastime (other than DISigning of course) is reading. Someone might volunteer to read to a senior or group of seniors. And one DISer used to donate books in my honor to their school library.

For the kindness in your heart

I just found out that here in Canada our poverty rate has doubled for Seniors.
This makes me so sad ,but maybe with more awareness and a few random acts of kindness we can begin to make a difference for such a special group of people.
