Pay for Upgrade at YC at check-in?

Has anyone ever asked for and paid for an upgrade from water view to concierge at check-in at the YC? If so, how much did it cost?

I tried it at ALK and found basically, they quoted me the difference between my current rate and the rack rate so it was around $90 a night. (I passed!)

I tried to do this at the GF - I had an AP rate for a garden view room and wanted to upgrade to a lagoon view. The front desk could only do it at rack rate, but they told me to go through CRO from the phone in my room to check on AP rates. I did and was able to book an lagoon view with an AP rate. I also switched from POR to YC during a trip and went through CRO, and was again able to get an AP rate. Hope this helps!
