I'm in the final stretch of getting ready for our trip
and am now trying to make sure I am understanding everything I need to about the DDP. This is my first time to use it so forgive me if this is a stupid question.
We are eating at several 2 credit places, so we're going to have to pay OOP for some meals. Also, we have at least 1 meal where it will be just DH and me, no kids. Our party is me, DH and DD10, who counts as an adult, plus DD8, who obviously counts as a child. What I'm wondering is whether, in an effort to make sure we have available credits at certain meals, is it acceptable to sometimes pay for the 2 kids OOP (instead of using their allocated adult and child credits for that meal)? In other words, can DH and I use DDP while our kids are OOP at the same meal?
I know you can't use kid credits for adult meals and have no intention or desire to do that at all. The child credit that is saved at one meal will be used by the child at another meal that requires 2 credits (Jiko, CRT). Same with her sister who counts as an adult.
Can you do this? I appreciate your input on this!
