The "fine print" regarding
DVC and the Disney Visa is that you can receive 6 months no interest for your 10% downpayment or $2,500, whichever is
less. However, we put down $2,500 and our downpayment would have been less than that figure so I know that they obviously are giving some wiggle room for DVC purchases/downpayments. And, as Sandi said, she was able to put her entire purchase on her Disney Visa and receive the entire thing interest free for 6 months.
One other perk about the Disney Visa is that you will receive a Disney gift card for 1% of any charges that you spend. So, if you purchase, say, 200 DVC points at $19,200, that's a Disney gift card for $192 right there. Another perk is that your Disney trips (including
Disney Cruise Line) also qualify for the 6 months no interest promotion.
We have a Disney Visa and put all of our household purchases on it each month (like a debit card) and just pay it off every month. We are able to get a nice gift card to take to Disney every year that usually covers our tips and souveniers.
