DH and I saw it at a preview a couple weeks ago. We thought it was hilarious -- very irreverent and not always PC. I don't think we've seen any of their previous movies, even Shaun of the Dead, so I can't compare.

I also got to see a preview, with my son17. We both liked it but didn't love it. There were a lot of really funny moments and lots of shots at other sci fi movies, tv shows, and the like that were really fun. But, if you like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, it's a very different kind of humor. Paul relies on a lot of American "potty humor" rather than the more irreverant British humor.

We went to see it opening night and thought it was hysterical. I was worried because so many times you see all the good stuff on the previews and the rest of the movie sucks but this one was pretty funny the whole time. I would go see it again and will for sure rent it when it comes out. There is a lot of "potty mouth" talk but it could be a whole lot worse.

I liked it, but not as much as I thought I would. I LOVE Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and I like Seth Rogen. I thought for sure I would love this movie, but I was a tad dissapointed in it. Like it's been mentioned, it's not what i'm used to seeing from those guys and I was expecting for it to be.

That said, I did enjoy it, and everyone with me (not used to Pegg and Frost movies) loved it. I was also very tired and a little distracted. I would watch it again...but don't think i'd buy it.

Ditto these are my thoughts as well.

I'm a HUGE Pegg/Frost fan (from Spaced) and I love just about everything they do. This movie had great 'nerd' moments which I think is what kept my focus but otherwise it was just kinda "meh" for me. I was expecting more. But I would watch it again. Maybe I was having an off day.
